Late 19th Century “A Leisurely Day in the Gulf of Naples”, Original Oil Painting on Wooden Panel, Framed

An original oil painting on wooden panel by G. Jani, Italian artist late 19th century, “A Leisurely Day in the Gulf of Naples” scene of a row boat containing six people enjoying a bright sunny day in the Gulf of Naples, a woman reclining holding a tambourine, a woman holding a baby, a woman holding a tray of food, a man rowing and a man playing a guitar, Vesuvius in the back ground, 7 1/8″ x 15 3/8″, signed G. Jani in the lower right corner front. The work dates from the late 1800’s to the very early 1900’s. CA number 3945, CA purchased winter of 2024 from a British auction house.
The painting has been cleaned and varnished in order to protect the paint film. The work has been reframed in 3″ antiqued gold panel moulding.
A very tiny 1″ long crack is visible at the middle of the far right edge of the wooden panel, only visible under very close inspection. Due to age, the wooden panel has a minimal convex curve.
The colors are bright, clear and vibrant, the detail is superb, a wonderful painting.
