1920s Art Deco Chinese Silver & Charoite Bracelet

Art Deco charoite and silver link bracelet, China 1920s. The five curved links are joined by double o-rings; each link is centered with an oval cabochon of polished raw-gem charoite in a scalloped bezel setting. The stones are flanked by open-work designs of curving leaves and blossoms; there are traces of green enameling faintly visible in all the grooves of the carvings. The bracelet is secured with a pin and hinge clasp — the pin attached with a safety chain slides into the intersecting round chambers at each end of the bracelet. The silver has a warm patina, that is given resonance and dimension by the traces of enameling; the swirling variegations in the charoite stones create a sense of movement and life, while their polished surfaces throw off glints of light. A singular and elegant statement upon the wrist, sure to attract admiration and praise. Dimensions: 6.5″L x 0.75″W x 0.5″H.
