19th Century Italian Polychrome Carved Giltwood and Painted Candlestick

Crafted in Italy circa 1880, the candle holder stands on a tripod base ending with escargot feet; the decorative fluted stem is embellished with hand carved leaf motifs and embellished with a metal bobeche at the pediment to collect extra wax. The detailed candlestick flaunts its beautiful, original two-tone polychrome light brown and white painted finish with gilt and silver accents. The candle holder is in excellent condition with a rich patinated painted finish. Candle not included.
