Joaquim Tenreiro (1906–1992) was among the leading furniture designers and visual artists in mid-20th century Brazil. The Tenreiro-designed desk, shown here, is made in solid wood and Brazilian rosewood veneer. The desk top is floated between solid panel side supports. The Brazilian rosewood desk has two locking drawers with brass escutcheons and original brass keys. Condition consistent with age and use.
