A bronze table lamp by Willy Daro, Belgium, 1970s Bronze lamp, sculptured shaft resting on a rectangular base. The shade is secured with a silver colored rotary knob. The top of this is a pipe that is slightly adjustable with a turning knob and the original shade is rectangular and off-white (creme) colored. The lamp is signed. Willy Daro owned Les Nouveaux Ateliers Willy Daro and worked in Brussels from the late 1960s to 1987. His pieces are fabulous examples of an eccentric, modern and bold style. Particularly well known today for his lamps, where he often combined bronze and chrome The lamp measures 79 cm high, 35,8 cm wide and the depth is 15 cm The shade is 35 cm x 48 cm x 28,5 cm The weight is approx. 7,5 kilos.
