Early 20th century Aymara coca cloth / Tari, Dept. of La Paz, Bolivia
This small coca or tari cloth was traditionally used to hold and carry coca leaves and other foodstuffs, and was occasionally used as an offering cloth during specific ceremonies. Finely woven of alpaca wool with colorful warp stripes and robete edge binding.
