This rare sofa was designed in 1955 and produced by Forma, a company directed by Carlo Hauner (1927- 1996) and Martin Eisler (1913- 1977). This piece is an icon and illustrates some advertisements for the company in the 1950s, besides its matching armchair.
With wood structure and pointy feet made of Rosewood, our choice for the new upholstery was a soft nubuck leather in a gorgeous off-white color, with details in golden velvet – elements that enhance the remarkable silhouette.
The highly designed pieces produced by Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte during the 1950s and 1960s in Brazil are very well-executed. Although the biggest highlight has been through the iron pieces, Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler’s production is even more complex, hand-crafted, and extensive.
This sofa is very good condition, restored by experienced professionals in our Workshop.
