A large wrought iron inkwell of branches with roses, circa 1910
This large wrought iron inkwell is reminiscent of the style of the Belgian blacksmith Louis (Lodewijk) Van Boeckel (1857 – 1944). This beautiful large branches with roses is signed, but it is not clear which blacksmith it is. The inkwells are made of crystal with faceted edges and are placed in a holder made in the square of four leaves. The hinged edges on the inkwells is copper silver plated. It is an imposing piece and detailed.
The measurements are 16 cm high, 46 cm wide and the depth is 29 cm.
The total weight is 1150 grams.
