Vintage Design
The shaft is in the form of a large, ceramic vessel with a metal top with a bulb holder attached to it. The white vessel has additional decorations and an old, decorative, gilded label with the Latin word EXTRACTUM DULCAMARE. Originally, it contained an extract of a plant with a healing effect, but also a highly poisonous one.
When electric lighting was introduced on a large scale, kerosene lamps and candlesticks were converted into electric lamps. Various types of compilations were also created – mainly from vases. The more interesting are other types of everyday objects and curiosities that are less frequently used, among which pharmaceutical vessels should be mentioned.
The unusual item has both utility and collector values – thanks to its interesting history.
